Diet Pills: Yes or No?

Phentramin-D

From what I've heard, this diet pill is similar
to another diet pill, that's no longer sold over the counter,
that boosts your metabolism, increases your energy,
AND
makes you lose weight!

Too good to be true?
I don't know.

Here are some side effects that I've read about it:

1) hot flashes (sometimes)
2) hard time sleeping (in the beginning)
3) headaches (sometimes)

Now, why am I really blogging about this?

I recently read a blog entry where this Chinese woman
was able to drop 20 or so lbs. by taking a diet pill that started with a "D."
She explained that she didn't feel like eating anymore
and she would either eat less or decrease
her amount of "snacking."
She also mentions that she never exercised and gradually
decreased her pill intake. Now, she's depleted
her pills and doesn't plan on taking them anymore.
She looks good...even if she is only 80+ lbs.
Right after I read this I had to find out what that diet pill was!
I couldn't find it but found the one listed above.
I am still tempted to try it even though I really
only  need to lose 20-30 lbs., but...
I am SO lazy and like the Chinese woman I LOVE TO EAT!
I should exercise? Ha! Tried it and I have absolutely
NO MOTIVATION!

What are your thoughts?
Have you tried diet pills before?

Misrepresentation --> Miss Representation

Miss Representation Trailer (2011)

Yesterday, I attended a screening of this film that discusses some
of the issues that revovle around WOMEN. When I mean
issues I'm talking about how WOMEN are REPRESENTED
in the world. We're seen as sex objects most of the time
and if not that, then we're automatically perceived as a housewife,
or inferior to men.

WHY MUST WOMEN BE SO DEGRADING TO THEMSELVES?

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE WOMEN'S MOVEMENT?

I want to discuss this matter since I talk about beauty products
all the time and I feel that this matter pertains to women.
We see skinny ass models and feel the need to be thinner.
Or, we see makeup gurus who put on makeup and then
some feel obligated to even purchase the products they use.
I admit, I'm like that sometimes and I don't like it, but y'know
I'm a woman and I'm going to fall into society's "beauty trap."
There's got to be something that can change...
for the future and...
for the next generation.

Women are supposed to be stronger in society now with more
REPRESENTATION AND EQUAL RIGHTS.
I don't necessarily see that.

For example, let's look at the last presidential election.
Sarah Palin, as unintelligent as she comes off as,
has more popularity, per se, because she appears to
be young, feminine, and even some men say sexy.
Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, appears to be old,
grumpy, and a cock killer.
Some men admit to masturbating while watching Sarah Plain.
WTF?!
Where is America heading to?
People always complain about women being inferior to men,
blah, blah, blah. Ok...so do something about it!

TAKE A STAND! LET OTHERS KNOW!

HERE'S HOW:

1) Sign the missrepresentation pledge on:
2) watch the Miss Representation (2011) trailer (above) or even the movie
3) Become a REP (see website for details)
4) Vote for WOMEN
5) more ideas listed on the website above

DISCLAIMER: I am NOT blogging about this just to advertise
or whatever you think about the website and/or movie.
This is strictly based on my opinion and how I feel about this matter:
unrepresentation of women.
